this is a done deal. Metro league expands.

So...Beecher, Hamady, and the three Burton schools are all that's left then, right? And not really anyone left for them to play. A Burton co-op would be 965 students and a Beecher-Hamady co-op cmes in at 590, both within FML territory....

It also leaves Notre Dame Prep without a conference. Next year was their first year as a member of the GAC Red.

Very surprised the Burton schools haven't consolidated yet. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Beecher and Hamady look at possibly going to the Tri-Valley.

Is there a plan for the Burton schools to consolidate? If they don't and they all apply as well as Beecher and Hamady the TVC would be back to 23 schools and would only need 1 other to get back to 3, 8 team divisions.

Add in Ogemaw Heights and change up the names of the divisions. Just crazy thinking here haha. Something like this
Alma 643 Birch Run 552 St. Louis 331
Ogemaw Heights 624 Frankenmuth 549 Valley Lutheran 323
Bridgeport 618 Carrollton 504 Bentley 316
Freeland 584 Millington 390 Atherton 292
Garber 576 Ithaca 388 St. Charles 282
Swan Valley 573 Hemlock 374 Beecher 237
Bullock Creek 555 Bendle 357 MLS 193
Standish-Sterling 494 Hamady 353 Nouvel 180

Thought I heard Ogemaw Heights had applied to the Jack Pine Conference. Can anyone confirm?

Jack Pine accepted Pinconning and Shepherd to replace the departing schools.

Tri-Valley Conference realignment

The new Tri-Valley Conference will include a 10-team West Division and an eight-team Central Division, with the alignment based primarily on enrollment instead of geography.

That won't last. I expect smaller schools to look elsewhere. St Charles shared it and showed concerns already. They'll be looking I'm sure. Maybe the GAC will survive and welcome some of the Saginaw small schools.

Yeah I think that I remember the last time they reshuffled the big elephant in the room was Carrollton and their enrollment in with the smaller West schools, guess I am not seeing the logic of putting them back in when it was already an issue.
