I am investigating whether the export process of our former database to this new one can be tweaked such as to correct these issues. It is disappointing to me, especially given how often I rely upon linked content in lengthy discussions.

If that fails to work out, I guess we are stuck and will just have to press onward. As the years pass these older posts will be supplanted by the new and perhaps be only of interest to their original authors.
Out with the old ...
I was poking around the other night and discovered the links were broken. Also it seems all the little icon thingies were gone too. It was a bit annoying, but I got over it...cuz I'm flexible like that. 😉
From what I have learned this is going to be the way things will remain. It seems the database export from one version of the board software to another is not seamless. Oh, well, as you said, out with the old...

The ad-free feature subscription will expire on the ninth of the month. The admin site where I purchase a renewal is not working as yet, given that their site was also migrated to the tapatalk environment. Until that gets sorted out I expect we will soon be seeing ads popping up in a few days.

Resized mine to a size that works.  I like the spiffy look.

Then you can reduce the size of the avatar to a size that works.
It doesn't look as if it runs on Linux.

Oh Well.  I hope to get my Windows laptop back from repair soon.  It wasn't booting up and the repairer said he thought it was only the battery and he would get a new one.  That was some time ago and I have not heard from him lately, I will have to chase him.

By "battery" I hope he means the CMOS "button" battery that is used for firmware boot. If it was just the normal battery, then plugging the laptop in would enable it to boot. If he does not mean that, then find a better repair person. ;)
