I sometimes answer, "well, yes I am! But if you receive Christ, you can be holy too!"
Those who are God's children and are born of God, are of a more noble and celestial spirit than men of the world. They 'set their minds on things above, not on earthly things' (Colossians 3:2). 'Whoever is born of God, overcomes the world' (1 John 5:4). The children of God live in a higher region. They are compared to eagles (Isaiah 40:31), in regard of their sublimeness and heavenly-mindedness. Their souls are fled aloft. Christ is in their heart (Colossians 1:27) and the world is under their feet (Revelation 12:1). Men of the world are ever tumbling in thick clay. They are 'sons of earth'; not eaglesbut earthworms. The saints are of another spirit. They are born of God and walk with God as the child walks with the father. 'Noah walked with God' (Genesis 6:9). God's children show their high pedigree in their heavenly life (Philippians 3:20). -- Thomas Watson

There is certainly some evangelistic purpose in giving the unexpected answer rather then trotting out the usual cliches - just this Sunday gone I was preaching on Luke 6:43-49 and I set up a situation where I had created the impression I was saying Christians are better then non believers - and then I used the washing of the disciples feet to illustrate that we only need to come to Jesus for our feet to be washed because we have already been washed all over - however the unbeliever has not been washed in such a way - and you need to be!

I have been harassed and slandered on the web because I don't follow the morals of the world.   Worms do not like Eagles, it could be said.  That is because their they hated Jesus long before they hated us.  They hated Jesus to the point they crucified Him.

If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. ---John 15:18

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. ---Isaiah 66:5
