I recently found out that Great Britain was doing quite well at ice hockey for a change, winning every game at the recent Division 1B (3rd-tier) tournament in Eindhoven, only to choke in the last game against Lithuania and allow South Korea to sneak into the 1A promotion slot. At least we'll always have this over them:


The actual world championships start on 1 May.

what are you talking about? Britain used to perform quite well when they stole players from Canada back in the day

And now GB have qualified back to the top tier of the World Championship with a dramatic last-minute goal against Hungary:



First time in the top division since 1994, and presumably a few less Canadian imports than the glory days...
