According to many sited Venezuela NT did not play any matches between 1938 and 1946. However, in 1944 the team played at a 4 nations Cup Tournament in Curaçao as one can read here.
But was it Venezuela NT as mentioned? The linked article reports: La selección nacional, al mando del doctor Julio Bustamante, viajó a
territorio holandés con 15 jugadores, de los cuales cuatro eran
argentinos (Alberto "cañón" Casco, Alejandro Mariscotti, Antonio
"maestro" Ruíz Díaz y "don" Lino Taiolli) y dos cubanos (García Pelayo y
Joaquín Yarritu).

in the book "80 Tragos de Vinotinto" the games are considered national team matches....(15 jugadores cuatro eran argentinos, par de cubanos...)

A full file on this 1944 tournament is at RSSSF : http://www.rsssf.com/tablesw/willemstad44.html

Venezuela's team did include Argentinians and Cubans, though in this era it was not unusual for "imported" players to play in full internationals. We can call it Venezuela XI, or Venezuela League XI or something.

I am not sure, because I have the same book (a gift from the author) and he includes everything in chronological order regardless of status, e.g. youth teams are mixed in between senior teams.   I don't see anywhere in the book a simple list of full internationals.  I think it is left to the reader.  Also he once sent me such a list which didn't include the games in 1944.

The website of Asociación de Historia y Estadísticas del Fútbol Venezolano listed those matches as "A" matches the last time I had a look..

Please can you post a list of the A-matches Venezuela played in its early years according to that book? Let's say until 1950.

The book didn't give a list, that was my point. It covers tournaments chronologically, with lineups of the Venezuela games and some introductory text.

Doubtful. The AHEFV list is available through archives:

I know, but I presume that the FVF hasn't endowed them with official status.
