A recent Facebook search made me discover a rare and legendary photo. In November 1990 Vanuatu won the Melanesian Cup, probably their most important achievement ever.

Wow, it does really seem that Vanuatu's success at the 1990 Melanesian Cup produced a lot of enthusiasm over there, because these nice stamps were released at that time.




Please note: although the caption says “1992”, Vanuatu won the 1990 edition. In 1992 they were bottom...

I love the comically amateurish cartoons in exotic football stamps.  Especially the ones commemorating innocuous moments.









I want to see the Champions' League final broadcast exclusively through the medium of exotic stamp cartoons.
