Details for this match for some reason are unavailable either from Indonesian or Iraqi sources. The match was officiated by Italian referees.

Details from the World Soccer magazine

Perhaps the late kickoff time explains a lack of any detailed media reports of this game.

If we can find out the name of the Italian referee (most likely a Serie C level at the time), we could be able to locate a referee match report (if there was one) or more on the game.

According to a brief Iraqi report, there was a television crew at the stadium to cover the match but I think it was only a news crew filming highlights of the match.

I don't think the late kickoff time was a major reason, I think it being played on a weekend both Serie A and B matches were being played may have been a bigger factor.

Unfortunately the name of the referee was not indicated by Il Secolo XIX. There was just a short interview with the delegate of the Iraqi FA, mister Abdul Zaynal, who said that at that time the Iraqi football was not living a good period, because war and embargo had ruined it. The article mentioned the name of the coach of Indonesia: Danurwindo.
I think newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport may have some helpful details, but at the moment I can't track down it.

Coach of Iraq was Yahya Alwan and Indonesia was Muhammad Danurwindo. Both sides had more or less the same sides which played at the 1996 Asian Cup.

I am sure Italian papers will have more on this friendly match, they're usually good with match details. I have reports on Iraq playing Italian lower division club sides with names of the referee and minutes of substitutions, so there must be one out there.
