With the results of my 'Yay or Nay' campaign seemingly ineffective on the ghosts hanging around here (despite carrying a much bigger mandate % than for Brexit), it increasingly looks like the FIFA Confederations Cup might be taking its dying breath . Luckily there's people like me who want to assign it to a hypothetical coma rather than do the sensible thing and let it drift off into the light.
In its new potatoish redpill state, the Intercontinental King's Cup is a phoenix tournament (of the mindscape) following on from the King Fahd Cup and Confederations Cup, picking up where FIFA look like leaving off with a 2021 edition to be hosted somewhere in Asia.
The line-up for the 8-team tournament will come from the teams that would have qualified for FIFA's (with Play-Offs where necessary), and the chosen hosts. Areas like results and hosts to be decided by undecided methods that may include video game simulations, regular simulations, polls, or user submissions to help create and run this not-tournament from existing components. Like Build-a-bear but without all the screaming kids.
Either that or I completely forget about this idea and it picks up dust at the back of this subforum...
Other titles that may or may not be in the works:
- Royal Family: New Arrivals [Intercontinental Queen's, Prince's, Princess's, Jack's, and Joker's Cups (women's, youth, and miscellaneous Confederations Cup-style tournaments)]
- Seize The Day: The Original Pipe Dream (or at least one of)
- 4C 4C Don't You Stop (rescuing the 'proper' Club World Cup with the "Club Continental Champion's Cup")
