Hi, Shalom,
For my personal archives, I am searching different infos concerning Israel football (soccer) national team.
First, I am looking for eventual famlliy links between International players: (Grand) Father/(Grand) Son ; Uncle/Nephew ; Cousins ; eventual Half Brothers ou Brother-in-Law (wedding with a sister...) Example: David SCHWEITZER father of Moshe SCHWEITZER?
The second items concerns the country of birth if different of  Israel (or Palestine British protectorate). Example, Willi BERGER born in Hungary.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Answer or advise could be directly send to: shanon.mike@skynet.be.

I can only suggest contacting Yaniv Bleicher, for anything about Israeli football.  I don't know if you have done that already.

I can confirm that David Schweitzer and Moshe Schweitzer are father and son. I received a confirmation directly from the Israeli FA and from Hapoel Tel Aviv FC a couple of years ago, and I posted this info in the topic titled Which Coaches Have Picked Their Own Sons/Daughters For The National Team?

Thank you ! But the research concerns all evuentual links, not only coach/son. Other example Avi Cohen (1925-1997) was the father of Tamir (also international) and waas the half-brother of Vicky PERETZ. ;-) Thanks in advance.

Tony Bonezzi, Daniel Brailovsky and Roberto Colautti were born in Argentina.  Jan Talesnikov was born in USSR.   Toto Tammuz was born in Nigeria.

There must be dozens of Israeli internationalists born abroad.  It would be helpful to know what info you have already, which sources you have tried already, etc etc.

Well, Luca and I have given you 6 extra cases to add to your list.

As I said, It would be helpful to know which sources you have tried already.   The examples I gave above came from 2 minutes of elementary googling.

Hello, I have, since many years, all starting line-ups,(form Old websites, and books) with updatings I do years after years. For the the last twenty/twenty-five years 90% of the players are on Wikipédia or others correct sources. I am searching the infos (Birthplaces, eventual, family link and nicknames) mainly for the international players from the Thirties 'till beginning 80'ties. Fo those I miss also some DoB and DoD. Thanks to you.

Indeed, and both were born in what would become British Mandate Palestine. But the original questions didn't include the Ottoman Empire as irrelevant, so it seems to be relevant

I didn't say that it was irrelevant.   I suppose that would be up to Mr Shanon.

MANY THANKS FOR HELP TO ALL OF YOU. I was very helped with your posts and found others infos. For bIrthplaces: I consider that "if born in territory of nationaly and put no more info (a lot of example with players/trained who was born before 1918 in Autrian-Hungarian Empire ! If of Hungarian was born in territory of Hungary after 1918 =not abroad. An Hungarian born before 1918 in territory Czecoslavakia after 1918 = abroad. ;-).

IF YOU ARE INTERRESTED by a work on "World Cup History Trough the Times" (in FRENCH langage) send me an e-mail. I hope it will be ready for end Second part of May this year: shanon.mike@skynet.be for more informations about it.
Yours Friendly

Yes I think that is a good policy.  Another example:  most of the players who have played for independent Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia etc, were born in Yugoslavia.

By the way, you are welcome to write in French on this forum (or in Spanish, German, Old Norse, whatever you prefer).
