If you're looking for football in Åland.

If you write to them, please be sure to spell it "Åland". Aland is not correct.

Even though they wouldn't be allowed it seems the Åland Islands have expressed their lack of intent towards joining UEFA.

Indeed, though there doesn't seem to be any coherent reason given. The statement which translates something like "we do not have the playing ability or the finances" is surely irrelevant for this purpose.

Incidentally, Google translate said "Britain belongs to Gibraltar"... Finnish must be a tricky one.

They certainly have no less playing ability than some of the worst teams already in UEFA. But they've got their own internet domain, why bother with anything else?

As Aland isn't a member of FIFA or UEFA, I am sure the community following "Alternative Representative Football" is also interested in this thread. May I suggest copying this thread over?

Forum users are free to post threads wherever they feel it is appropriate.  There is no stipulation ANYWHERE on the forum that says sub-forums are restricted to FIFA or confederational members.  In fact, the lists of entities named in the tagline of the sub-forums contain several non-FIFA or non-confederational members.
