So in the E-Mail about his tour Jason also confirmed that his new album will come out this summer.
It may have also been confirmed somewhere else before, but this is the first time i've read it, so I'm hyped.
Reading the mail also got me thinking what the name of the album could be. He wrote GOOD VIBES a few times, so that was the first title to come to mind.
What do you think? Another one could be 'Might As Well Dance'?
I'd just love to talk to someone about this and create some theories.
Take a look at the other thread about new album in 2018...has some ideas there.
Might As Well Dance was written quite a while back but still might be included. A lot of his recent writing (noted from ASCAP) looks like it was done with Christopher Keep and Stewart Myers who work with White Star Studios where YES! was recorded. Many of his other recent song-writing collaborators are from the country music field (Nathan Chapman of Taylor S, Natalie Hemby). Jon Green is the co-writer on "Let's see what the night can do" which was performed on his last mini-tour.
While that's not a real indicator of what will make it on the album, it does give some ideas and does suggest another acoustic style outing.
His latest tour (< 2018) showcased a number of songs (available via YouTube) that definitely have album quality offerings.
While he did note the new album is due out this summer, it doesn't look like (based on known schedules) that it has an actual date.
Myself, I still think he should go completely unexpected and do a club version of "Undone". It would be funny and make the ballad version of it that much more exciting.
