I just got back from David's funeral. I didn't know the other kid too well, but I've been friends with Dave since 7th grade, almost 7 years. He was, in truth, the best of us at Council Rock. One of the smartest, one of the nicest, and the most talented. He spent senior year in Germany, one of the few in the nation to recieve a foreign exchange scholarship.

This was a complete waste. And all due to some stupid freak accident.

Dying young is always a waste.. And that seems to be such a run of bad timing and bad luck.. No ones fault and a great pity..

It is very sad when somebody is killed in their youth. This is especially tragic since I am 19 as well.

Too much of that happening lately. Some youthful friends of mine had to do the same last week. Even worse, that was the second time they had to do that, this year. Quite shaking for them.
