Hi,

here are the results for Epic 18. Unfortunately, I have been unable to accress Bakers Dozen's site at the moment, so his results are not included yet (will be as soon as his size works for me again). (BTW, why there is so much space between here and the table, I don't know...)

EDIT: Entered Bakers Dozen's score, corrected Griselda's.

</table>

I went a little overboard with calculating all number of turns when it was necessairy only for T-hawk's and Jaxom's game, but I liked to compare them for the rest as well.

Unfortunately, there had been a lot of retired games, but I guess that had to be expected with the release of PTW, the need to play two games, and with several people having a small civ3-burnout.

If you find any errors...

I actually can't reach the site either -- apparently Crosswinds is down right now.

Until it comes back up, here are my results:

Game A: Hard loss in 1365AD (263 turns)
Game B: Draw in 2010AD (500 turns)
Total Score: 4

Hope that helps.

I think I confused everyone when I played a total of 3 games during this Epic, but I wasn't a shadow player.

Game A- Hard Loss, 1000 BC, 1 point
(then I played game A again, the "shadow", which I retired)

Game B- Soft Loss, 2048 AD, 2 points

Thanks so much for taking the time to put this together! It's a big help.

Hard to believe that despite very different games, Kylearan and I finished only 6 turns apart for both games combined! It appears as though building the Colossus in game B was the difference (you had Colossus, Copernicus, and Newton in one city whereas I had only the latter two). Of course, if the Great Lighthouse had been necessary to make contact with the other civs - which was my approach to game B - the results might have been quite different!

Nice work compiling the scoring, and congratulations on having the fastest Greek dates.

BC years count as negative for combining dates (the way I intended it for quick reference). Of course, the dates only apply to tiebreaking. Winning in 1000BC would be -1000 to your combined date. Your actual date total, had you been victorious with your finish dates, would have been 2048 - 1000 = 1048.

1048 for a combined victory date (10 scenario pts) would have been most impressive indeed. Since no other Aztec players scored 3 scenario points, though, there's nobody there with whom you need to break a tie.
