Liriope muscari

Perennials have a life cycle of 3+ years. Some perennials may be killed by climatic conditions in your garden but this doesn't change their classification:
they are merely perennials whose life cycle has been cut short.

I love Liriope muscari, as it is evergreen, and has lovely spikes of purple flowers (my
favourite colour!) in late autumn into early winter. These give a lovely splash of colour, and last for weeks. The linear form of the flowers is also very
useful in flower arrangements, as a change from the more common rounded forms of flowers. It's another useful front-of-the-border plant, growing to about 1
foot high.
