Had a quick walk round the garden yesterday and found these:

Not actually in our garden but overhanging our fence. Hawthorn has been magnificent this year, must be something to do with the early rain.

Pip 'n' Sox Rose

A newly planted rose (the name of which escapes me), it is in the same bed as the one above.

Yes we've noticed how well the Hawthorne looks this year as you say reckon its all the rain you had over the winter.

If you're referring to the yellow rose, Taffy, that's Pip 'n' Sox named in honour of the couple who set up RG. When Sox died we clubbed together and bought a rose and named it after them. There were six plants, Pip decided to circulate some of them and I was the lucky recipient of one. Can't remember who else but think I am the only one still on the site. I've tried to strike cuttings but haven't been successful so far and not even sure they would come true.

I have one too CA and it bloomed so well this year.  My gardener gave it a hard prune and it obviously did it good.  I am intrigued by your yellow rose with the red/pink centre and am not sure whether I like it or not ( sorry).
