Thinking of using a 3.5 turn drum sail winch but it will need to turn less than this to suit my sheeting arrangement. So how do i do this ? is it with the transmitter, if so how and what make. Or what !!!

Hi
Yes you can limit your winch on the 2.4ghz transmitters but dialing down the amount of movement, check out hobby kings web site.
How is your build going?

Not all transmitters can vary the end points of servos. e.g. Planet 5 can't. In this case you can use a servo stretcher which fits between the receiver and the servo and can decrease,or increase the throw of any servo.
I have one in my IOM to reduce the winch turns from about 7 to 3 They are inexpensive and small and lightweight.

Thank you for your inputs and is a servo stretcher the same as a servo scaler ?

Yes it is, it just depends on who makes it.

As a cosmetic touch I would like to have a paint scheme using different colours above and below the waterline, so what is the best way to determine the water line any ideas.
