other people are eating or doing. I care about ME. Good grief, way too much sugar last night. Didn't sleep well, feel like crap this morning. Why? Because I made stupid choices. Yeah, I'm only human, but I can be a healthier human. I can make healthy choices. I don't have to eat something just because it is there. I could have just a little and be o.k., but I know me well enough to know that a little always leads to a little more. If I can't settle for a little, I need to just leave it alone totally. So, here is to a healthier day. I am going to have a healthy day.

brings them by. I feel for you. Maybe just a small piece to let them know you appreciate it and then let your partner eat the rest. I have a hard time here at work when the drug reps keep bringing stuff. I have been doing lots better. I ate a big oatmeal cookie the other day that I would have not eaten had it not been brought in. I reminded myself that I would have been perfectly happy had I not ever seen the thing!!!!!!

my little teapot of green tea and a small teacup

I am so busy fiddling with drinking and pouring that no one notices that I am not eating anything.

And I am so busy fiddling with my teapot and cup that I forget to eat anything at morning tea now.

I had some chocolate biscuits at home that I knew we should not eat and I have brought them with me and put them on the table for the staff here to eat.

better on their hips than mine.

Some of this is like quitting - you have to outsmart your addiction all the time.

there are those that really "don't" want us to lose weight and will try and feed us anything........

We need to remember and know what WE want for US!!! And if we don't seem polite to someone because we aren't eating enough of something or say "no" to something. So be it. That is THEIR problem.
