Hi everyone!
I am new to the whole forum world but I have smoked for 30 years and I am willing to try anything to quit for good!! I believe in support groups so I am so thankful this is available!! My quit date is April 7th. It has not been easy thats for sure! I quit cold turkey. I have tried everthing on the market to quit before and nothing has worked for me. I realize that I must treat it as a daily choice to NOT smoke. Thanks for letting me share!!

and welcome,,,,

Again is OK. I quit AGAIN 19 months ago, cold turkey, and it stuck! I ,too, had many attempts.
There is a great deal of reading material here
in the links above the forum.

We are not as busy as we once were, but I think we would like to be, so keep posting! We NEED new quitters!

Congrats, Tess

There's some sites that are very good reading, like Bob's place & the Fogey rambles. Educate yourself about this insidious addiction. The more you read about the effects of smoking the stronger your conviction to quit will be.

I was new to the forum thing to.
I smoked for 39 years and quit cold turkey....that was 6+ years ago.
I found this forum back then and SO glad I did. The support was beyond wonderful. Don't think I would have stayed quit otherwise.
You can do it to. Stay close.
