although he probably doesnt know it....I was on this site in 2006. Jona introduced me to this site. He was the person I always looked for. In January I had such a strong sensation of thinking about Jona. I wondered how he was and thought of some of the many things he had said. He made me laugh, he made me angry, he made me think. I started on another quit smoking journey on January 25th. I have been struggling the last couple days and came to the spot I last talked to my friend Jona. Jona will always be in my heart. Thank you Jona for helping me get back to a quit that was on hold for many many years.

It has been a while since I have talked to Jona, but think of him often. That is what I meant when I said he probably doesnt know it. I would think every so often...I better try to quit again soon so I can tell Jona I am finally doing it this time. Hopefully he knows I am doing pretty good this time

From what I gather, your friend and mine (((((Jona))))) passed away
a couple weeks ago

This a repost from Kevin in the UK

Hello everyone, sad news I'm afraid,

I know that Jona wasnt everybodys best friend on here and would sometimes overstep the mark, but for those who laughed with him or wonder about him I have some very sad news.

I would email him most days just to say good night ( I am in the Uk) last time i said 'nite' to him was Jan 30th.
I have just heard that was the day he past away. There was a service for him in Seattle on the 9th feb, he made his daughter promise to look after Red for him.

Inside the flap of a rolling stones album, there is a tribute to Brian Jones, reminds me of Jona, it reads:

"When this you see, remember me, and bear me in your mind. Let all the world say what they may, speak of me as you find."

My heart goes out to his daughters and family

rest in peace dude

I am so sorry you had to learn about Jona in this way. He had been ill, but still this was a shock to all of us. He was indeed his own person and touched all of our lives. I am glad that you are still quit and that Jona helped you along the way. That I know makes him very happy!
