So the board converted to Tapatalk about a week ago. I didn't get into it much because I was trying to get stuff for the ScrollBoss toy update finished, but I spent some time trying to get things figured out and straightened out about the new format.

Things like member levels, avatars, sigs, and private messages seem to be intact. Our custom emoticons aren't in the emoji table (BOOOOOOO!), but they still show up in our old messages somehow. I tried to see if they'd work by typing them out, but it's been a no go so far. That was one of the things I was worried about with the conversion, so I backed them up a while ago. The emoticons MAY be available in the paid version, but I can't really afford to do that, especially for a board that isn't really that active anymore.

Please me know if you're having any problems with your account and I'll see what I can do to fix 'em for you.

Fancy, fancy. Shows up nice on the small screens now. I'll miss that old gallery of crazy faces but this is a pretty good layout and easy to work with on my touch screen.

Just don't start thinking about 'modernizing' ScrollBoss any time soon

I'll miss those things, too. I haven't really messed with it. It's still beyond weird for me to see the new interface, though.

Just came here and was jarred by the near 100% difference from the old forum. Really weird, albeit easier to navigate. I do notice, however, that working with URLs is complicated. It seems I have to disable BBcode, or else every single thing after the link is considered a link, and i cannot seem to turn the underline off, and then after i am done, i have to re-enable BBcode so it can post as I intended for it to.

I also hope this board can eventually be dressed up a little nicer. No offense or anything, but I am not a huge fan of white and bulky site design like this site gives off. Looks generic and lifeless compared to the old forums, which had a notable color tone, and good old customized graphics. This is just me hoping it can eventually get a makeover, but i know nothing of this tapatalk server. It is unfortunate that you cannot use your own emoticons, though, at least so it seems. That combined with the generic look just makes this place lack the old charm it had, that feeling of a community.

But as I said, it does have its benefits. It loads much faster, it is easier to navigate, and I like the little preview you are allowed to get with the BBcode turned on, after you can set it straight. I don't know too much more because I just started using this, so that is as much as I can say here. LOL

For a split-second I thought this place was gone!

Nice upgrades. I'll always come back here when i'm feeling nostalgic.

Believe me, I'm with you 100%. Until I can find some way to mess with the CSS, this board's look will threaten to put me to sleep, too. Right now, I'm working on a big update behind-the-scenes update to the "Info Center" sections on ScrollBoss, so I'm a bit swamped, but I plan to dig deeper and get this sorted out.
