I think it did. Took almost three years (and 2 m/cs) to conceive DS#2. We started TTCing again after I weaned him from BFing at around 16 months. I conceived four months later.

Hugs and GL!

It took two extremely painful years for us to conceive our DS via IVF. We had tried everything else and had been given the DE speech. After I had him, I felt so different. For one thing, I was happier than I had been in years. I was just so thrilled to be a mom after so many years of trying. My previously whacked out periods (short luteal phase) were completely normal (once they came back when I stopped breastfeeding). Before I had him, my FSH was 14.3; after I had him, my FSH was 10. I also could tell I was ovulating which I hadn't been able to before, I had CM for the first time in years, etc. I got pg naturally after three months of trying. Amazing. I truly feel like having him reset my body.

we conceived my DS when my daughter was 1 year old. AND I was still nursing. We had already set up an appt. to go back to Dr. Check and I got to call and cancel it! It was amazing--I said to my husband I thought I was fertile that day (based on observing CM only) and we BD one time. I still look at my son and just shake my head in amazement.

I got pregnant very easily the first time, had a mc and then got pregnant right away and had my DS.

I didn't think there was anything wrong with me since it had been pretty easy.

With #2 it's been a different story, High FSH (over 20) and very low AMH (0.10) put me on the category of DE, and doctors were willing to work with me but gave me really little hopes.

We decided it was possible DS had been a fluke and we were lucky and should be happy with what we had and stopped TTCing and now here we are 13 weeks pregnant and TERRIFIED because I know this was good good luck and if this one doesn't work I don't see many more chances for us in the future.

It took 4yrs of ttc for my #1 and 3yrs for my #2, so it was a shorter time, at least

me:42, DH 43
FSH 26
DS: born by c-sec Apr15'03, 9lbs5oz 41wks gest. (after 4 years of ttc, starting in 1998)
DD born by c-sec Oct 13 2007, 8lbs13oz 39wk gest. (after just under 3 years of ttc)
~~DS was conceived naturally the cycle following a cancelled DE IVF, using my good friend's eggs. She was on the verge of hyperstimming.
~~DD's nat conception I attribute to using OPKs like a crazy nut, eating grapefruit daily and using preseed. also 5 cycles of TCM ending 2 cycles before that lucky cycle.
