Sadly, I don't have good news to post. Still no heartbeat at what should be 7w2d, according to LMP. Doctor said there is clearly a gestational and yolk sac, but at this point he said we should definitely be seeing a heartbeat. He said the pregnancy is progressing, but very, very slowly which he says is an indication that it wouldn't progress and develop to be a healthy pregnancy.

He said I could wait another week, but says the chances are very, very low that it is viable. He gave me a prescription for misoprostol to speed things along.

Thanks to all of you for the support you have given me during the last few weeks. Good luck to all of you and I hope to join you over here again soon!

Mel, I'm so sorry for what you are going through and I'm sure your Dr is right that this just might not be the one. But, be 100% certain you don't want to wait just 1 more week. You've come this far, what's another 7 days?? I understand how hard this must be on you...to hope. It's just torture. But if it were me, I would want to give it that 1 last week just to be sure.

But I understand your decision either way.

(((BIG HUGS)))) and so sorry you didn't get better news today hun.

Good luck to all of you and I hope to join you over here again soon!
it one more week. I know it's very difficult, but I would recommend waiting the extra week just to be absolultely sure. I really hope this turns around. If not, it will be very sad, but you have gotten pg, which is a good indicator of future success. I know that's not what you want to hear right now, but it is true so hold onto that no matter what happens this round. Peace to you.

I went through the same exact thing earlier this year. Yolk sac and fetal pole but no HB at 7 weeks. I gave it another week and then at 8 weeks when there was no HB, I scheduled a D & C. It was a very tough and hard time. Although waiting didn't work out for me, there are stories of heartbeats being found later. All the best to you.
