hello! i'm new as you can see.. but i am not new to the pinback scene... i was one of the top posters at the rob crow fan site. i've been listening to rob crow since about 2000-2001 it doesn't seem that long but it seems to me that pinback is getting pretty big and their are people who have only really heard of "summer in abbadon" my favorite album is "this is a pinback cd" but my favorite song is "grey machine" got into it because i liked "thingy" and i said i didn't like rob's stuff on pinback.. but later heard some "offcell" and "this is a pinback cd" and now here i am.

i think that sums it up for now

'Ello all! I am very happy to be a member of this board and I look forward to making a few new friends here.

I had, unfortunatly, been deprived of the Pinback experience up until about two years ago. I've been somewhat of a metal head as long as I can remember....but I was ready for a change. So, a friend of mine whom is also in a local Austin band, came over one day to visit. He has awesome musical taste and listens to a very wide variety of music, so I told him that I was totally burned out and ready for a change. He handed me two cd's and said, "this is going to be your new favorite band." The cd's that he gave me were 'Pinback' and 'Blue Screen Life'.....I was amazed at what I heard, and I had never honestly heard anything like it. My friends prophecy was true.....Pinback is now and has been since that day, my favorite band :D

I also really dig all the side projects. Rob and Zach are definatly two of the most talented people alive.

Feel free to learn more about me by visiting my page. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask. ;)

Hey.

I've had this forum in my bookmarks for... I don't know how long (maybe since it was created!) and I just realized that I'd never registered.

I thought it was as good a time as any.

Anyway - my introduction. I'm the guy who posted a pic of his brand new "I Hate You, Rob Crow" mug on the pinback_list :)

I'm a huge fan of everything Rob Crow, particularly Heavy Vegetable, Pinback, Optiganally Yours, Thingy, and Rob solo. Other Men are great too.

I listen to lots of other stuff that I suppose will crop up during the conversations I hope to have here.

Hi everyone. I'm Joris and i'm from in the Netherlands. I like music, potato chips and lots more.

Someone with great taste told me about the existence of Pinback in the year 2002. I started to listen to it, found it boring and listened some more. After a short period i liked it more and more (and more) and now i listen to it lots of times, thinking i really like the taste of it.
My favorite songs are boo, my star and ehmmmm, june i guess. Though i could think of 10 more "favorite" pinback songs. :)

Nice. I don't have fake clog slippers... I don't have clog slippers... I don't even have clogs!

I've been in Ohio 2 months ago! Cleveland, to be more precise.

Serious? What were you doing there? I guess if you have to be in Ohio, Cleveland is your best bet, otherwise I'd feel really bad for you.

Also, fake clog slippers are just about the best slippers on the face of the planet. And they make you look completely awesome. I suggest you get some. You and everyone, ever.

I study criminology (almost finished) and was in Cleveland (9 days) with 11 other students to visit stuff like detention centres, the police, the FBI, the Corroner's Office, East-Cleveland and a school... ;)
Not only criminal stuff though. We also visited a game of the Indians, went to the Rock and roll hall of fame museum and went to see the Amish. :)
