I purchased a new 249 which i never wore but put it in the safe to be given to my son when he is old enough to appreciate it.
Now i have a Bronzo coming soon and may have to make more room and my son would like the bronzo better.
I have told him he will not be getting the bronzo new, because i will be wearing it and he will be only getting it when he is 21. (he is only 10 now)

Now do i keep it and sell somthing else?

I would probably sell the 27A over the 249. Everything else you have is a classic (not that the 27A isn't), but it's the least of the classics. Seeya 27A. Good luck!

...maybe see if you can wait a bit and see how things pan out. The beauty of your watches is that they should hold their value if you really need to sell in a pinch. Kind of like a semi-liquid asset with all of us WIS around.

If you had to make me choose...

249 would be sitting for 11 years.....hmmmmmmm.... My thoughts. If I was a kid and got the watch my dad loved to wear a ton and it had all his marks, cuts and bruises all over it, I'd be soooooo proud to wear it.

Summary, ditch the 249 and wear that bronzo for your son to wear later. (if your son is ok with the 249 loss).

Everything else is keepers especially the 249, 232, 5002, 5513 the 27a and the 112 is expendable but since the 112 is your beater you might as well hold onto it.

Just buy a bigger safe, wear them all once in a while, and give the one that your son chooses when he becomes 21. If you insist on a new one, just buy it at that time. There will be plenty of interesting watches in 2023

cheers
