Wife wanted to have her first Panerai and has been eyeing a 380 for her. For all the owners of the 380, hat does your wife thinks about it? Wrist shot perhaps? Any other suggestions for a lady Pam (444mm preferred so I can also use it). Thanks in advance guys!

the 380 is a bit sporty and less versatile imo but would probably look good too. I would look at the 210 though since its in the same price range. She'll love the balance, sandwich dial and probably really enjoy the exhibition back.

Good luck

...and it looked good on her, but she doesn't wear it as she really wants a date, so I got her a 49. She loves it.

5.5" wrist btw.

...Received a 390. IMHO Gold hands, brown dial & JV strap (xs) are also sooooo nice on a woman's wrist!!!

The 380 is definitely a great watch for ladies too. With some cool strap changes I am sure that it will look superb on a womans wrist! Go for it.

I wanted to have a Radiomir as well and she likes the 380 design I guess because it somehow resembles the base without the crown guard. Thanks for the reply. Wait. 210 is in the same price range of the 380?

I'm looking for something that I will give her and something that I could wear too LOL. I also have a white face piece already. Thanks for the input mate!

What's the difference between 210 and 380 other than the 210 having a see through case back? Sorry for a newbie question.

meaning that the only functions displayed are hours and minutes, the 380 has a second hand where the "9" would be. The 210 has a more simple dial "Luminor Panerai" Whereas the 380 has "Luminor BlackSeal Panerai" and OP Logo, also the text on the dial on the 380 is white and on the 210 the text is cream colored. The 210 has a sandwich dial and the 380 has a painted or "sausage" dial. Also the 380 has the solid case back and the 210 has a see through back.

So to narrow that down the differences are

1) Base Dial vs. Seconds hand subdial
2) Sandwich vs. Painted
3) 2 lines of text vs. 4 lines of text
4) Cream text vs. White text
5) Exhibition case back vs. Solid case back

For me the 210 wins in every category, I would show them both to your wife and see what she prefers, you can easily pull up pictures online to compare the 2. They will both wear the same way and both have the same movement. I just feel like the 210 is a bit more versatile and all around better looking, it's a classic. The 380 is a cool watch though.

You are the man! From this point on, you're my idol. Thanks for such an informative input. I'll do just that, show my wife both the 210 and the 380.
