Just got word that I have a shot at it. What do you all think? Also, anyone know the retail on the 422? Thanks!

The 88 is iconic, but the 422 is pretty darn cool as well. The 422 is regular production, so if you miss this shot, there will be others. The 88 should stay readily available on the secondary market as well if there is sellers remorse.

every year there will be awesome new Panerai watches, and we will want one or two (or more) of them. If those in your collection no longer speak to you, then sell them and move on. But if you feel like you're losing something dear or you're torn, don't part with it. You'll be re-buying it down the road - like me!

Those are words of wisdom... You cannot just own one Panerai...

Is my board done yet?

Because they are two different pieces, IMHO it would depend on what else you have in your stable and how you want it to evovle. Do you have other 44mm PAMs or other GMT watches? Do prefer cleaner dials or complications? The good thing is both will be available so you don't need to rush. Good luck!

Definitely NOT!!! Keep your 88.....then I'll have a shot at buying one...at least there's one more out there in the market place for us mere "mortals"...who will only ever own one PANERAI....LOL

Sorry - i have visions of someone being trampled over a watch.....too funny.
Tough call, just buy it if it sings to you... life's too short - buy & enjoy if it does.

That is an easy one for me as I don't think the 88 looks like a Panerai - it just looks odd.
422 looks fantastic!!!
