July 2012 - New York, NY - Officine Panerai is pleased to announce the limited release of a collection of Special Edition watches celebrating their newest Panerai North American boutiques in Bal Harbour, La Jolla, Palm Beach and Las Vegas. Each timepiece will bear a unique engraving on the case back representing the geo-cultural spirit of each boutique. The 2012 Boutique Special Edition Series features steel Luminor Marina and Radiomir models and a red gold Luminor 1950 model.
 
The first 2012 Boutique Special Edition piece to launch in the U.S. will be the Luminor Marina 44 mm in polished steel (with brushed steel crown protector), debuting in Panerais Bal Harbour, Palm Beach (Florida) and La Jolla (California) boutiques later this month, followed by the Radiomir 10 Days GMT 47mm in polished steel. As we know, these only differ in caseback, but they are great. I own a 417 and find myself wearing it more and more. Nice to see Panerai spreading the love to the new boutiques.

Good to see the Panerai designteam have been working hard. Just how DO they come up with these diverse models?
This must really have taken all their creativity to pull this brand new design out their sleve. I've never seen a watchdial like that before and I'm sure it will command a high and fair price

Irony aside, a nice watch if you live in one of the specific places, but nothing more imho. Panerais creations are becomming somewhat lazy and most of the new releases looks like clones to me.

My Panerai purchasing experience in London has never been great as there's a much bigger demand for expensive watches in London as it attracts purchasers from all over the world as London is a major shopping destination (more so than Florida). Watches sell at RRP and quickly.

Very strange there's no boutique in London. There's got to be a reason for this. Perhaps it's because London is saturated with official Panerai dealers and Panerai do not believe the expense (rents are ridiculous in London) of opening a London boutique would enhance their sales?

There's pretty much no AD around worth mentioning. One in the west end of the GTA with a crappy reputation and absolute none in the downtown core!
