Are the hands in the Pam 372 Bronze or Gold?

I was told that many of the "gold" hands were actually Bronze and one of the only ones with true gold hands is the 21.

Can anyone confirm which ones are gold and which ones are brass / bronze?

Thanks guys!

372 hour and min hands are 18k Yellow Gold as per Panerai Boutique.
127, 217 are brass.
21, 203, 190, 232 are 18k YG as well.

Btw, 190 gold hands wil not fit into 210 due to different mvmt hole configurations.

Some people say Brass other says YG... the debate will continue.

Good info on the other models... do you know what the hands on the 390 are?

Thanks for the knowledge.

I do believe the boutique on this one and add this clarification. Rose gold is really yellow gold with a higher copper content. So I believe them when the say it's 18 K gold, to me that appears right, but those thinking they see copper and bronze, I believe you to are correct, as the copper content in the hands is consistent with what people often term rose gold. In fact, I just today received my Omas new paragons and one happens to have the trim termed rose gold. It's is the exact match of the hands.

be either an alloy or plating. I have little doubt there is some brass in the hands though and there is almost certainly copper content present which gives it the pink or rose hue. At least the hands on mine are consistent with rose and far different that those say on a 232.

Obviously, contributors with opposing views on one side don't know what they are talking about because the hands can't be both brass and yellow gold. It would be beneficial to know what everyone's source of information is and why they think they know or believe they are correct.

trademark stamp.

look at all the other gold or platinum panerais. they will have those 3 items on the back of the case.

it's a us law (as well as many other countries) so unless there is 18k (or 14k)with the country of origin and the trademark stamp, there is no gold in the hands.

I was searching for info on the 372 and 390 hands and this thread is the clearest thread I found around the topic. I contacted Panerai and this is their official reply:

"In response to your inquiry, PAM 390 and PAM 372 both timepieces have gold plated set of hands."

So therefor gold hands would not necessary need a stamp.

all the Rolex watches have white gold hands and this fact is not known to many. Rolex does not mention about this on any of their product literature or website.

Gold plated brass hands is what I would think. nt
