non-human members of your family... pets can make a big difference in our lives, mostly for the better as we found out recently with our mutt. Won't go in to details but certainly appreciate him taking care of the kids!! Introducing "Pen", our welsh corgi... and protector of the family... let's see your pics of dog or otherwise...

This is rescue dog Turbo

And here's Twiggy... humour her, her friends went to Tokyo and brought her back a nice blonde wig. Looks fetching doesn't it?

And here she is tormenting Turbo out in the park.. she crashes into him, he gets mad and then she zooms off so he can't catch her

This is Shelby, she got hit by a car.. her owners decided they didn't want her anymore due the cost of fixing her leg. So she's had a pretty big surgery on her rear leg. We are fostering her until she is well enough to find a new forever home.

She is very sweet. And in the first 14months of her life she's already had 2 homes. First owners had a newborn baby and decided they didn't want her, so they gave her to friends. She wasn't desexed, went wandering and of course got hit by a car. Broke her back leg in several places.

So given humans suck so bad sometimes, by fostering one dog like this one you feel you are doing a little bit to reverse the experience she has had so far. If we didn't take her in, she'd have been euthanised. The total care to the Veterinary Hospital over her recovery is worth about $5000! By the time she goes to get homed she will have been with us nearly 3 months.

we have six rescued dogs and we love each of them! Each
has a different personality and each digs having been rescued.
And, we have two inside cats and two outside cats... yes, we are nuts!

This is Wally. He was found in the wall of a house, STUCK! They could hear him calling out.. poor little guy. The only way they could get him out was to jack hammer a hole in the wall of the bedroom! He was a stray, nobody knows where he came from or how he got in there. He was dehydrated, had injured his back leg and had a ulcer on his eye.

The people who's house he was stuck in were so moved by it (hole in their wall and all) that they adopted him

He's gassy, he has eaten at least six mattress pads, but how can you stay mad at this face?

I grew up as a kid with 6 cats, a dog (corgi again...), a bantam, and a rabbit... occasionally all hell would break loose but then the cats were too domesticated to know what to do with a large meal like the bantam!!
