Hi all,

I am new to Paneristi. I got the Panerai disease a few years ago, and I love it . I am interested in the new upcomming PAM 375 and signed up for it at a dealer. The dealer couldn't tell me if they were getting any as it is a special edition. Does it always work this way or do I have a better chance at a Boutique (not in my country) or what do I have to do. I also asked for a 390, they put me on a list and couldn't also tell me if they were getting any...... is this the normal way this usually goes? Many thanks for your answers!

Special Editions are only available at Boutique's... So your AD will probably not got any. Get your name on a list at a Boutique near you. Or like some do, contact several boutiques because those SE's are very popular and hard to get...
Good luck!

David, thanks!

But why do they take my name and 'put it on a list'? So you're saying there is no list for SE at the dealers? Why didn't the just told me so? I know there are more people on that same list, so all are waiting in vain.... And I have to get my addiction at a Boutique?

The 390 is a boutique only edition so your AD would not have access to them.

You will have to ask your AD why they put your name on a list for a watch they cannot get.

Probably didn't know what a 390 is. Which is another reason many people prefer to buy from boutiques, they only sell Panerai so their knowledge and training is more in depth and specific to the brand.

Thanx! Can I order from a Boutique and have it shipped and so on so I don't have to travel 1000+ kilometers to get to a boutique? And can I get on the list by sending them an email?

Okay, great. So I can sign on for a Panerai at a boutique. Am I obligated to buy it then, what happens if my AD also has a watch for me? And can the boutique tell if I'm sure to get it or do I have to hope, or is it first come first serve, how does that system work?

Most say that you have to know someone at the boutique or have to be a big spender to get some of the very Special Editions or the Boutique Editions. They make lists and you should think that they follow the system: first come, first served BUT it looks like this isn't always like that. I think you have to have some luck to get one of the Special Editions.
My idea is you can sign up and if there is a problem at the end ( not possible to pay or you already bought one somewhere else), when they offer it to you, you can always let it pass.
There are numerous people interested in most SE's, so i think that's not a problem. I also know that most people put there name on more then 1 list to raise that bit of luck...
The Paris Boutique have lists, but i heard they call it a wish list. I was lucky enough to buy a 390 without being on a list for a long time. I just emailed and expressed my interest and they offered a 390 the day after. So i think my luck for the coming SE's is over ).
Just contact a Boutique and put your name on the list. They will also tell you if the list is to long... They will not tell you that you will get one for sure i think, but you can ask.

Cheers

Many thanks, I will send them an email. Do they take applications in English too? My French is not as good as it used to be .
