Fishy

I can't put my finger on it, maybe the color of the luminova, the engraving seems exaggerated, etc. I'd wait til the next one comes around.

In what context do you need help? Are you looking at purchasing or have purchased the watch and think you've been ripped off? That looks like a fake to me for numerous reasons.

I purchased the watch. Not having owned a panerai I wanted to make sure it was authentic. If not I will try to return it.

I am not a collector and just want to make sure I did not get ripped off.

I really appreciate everyone's help.

Where did you buy it from? If you can return it, do so and buy a watch with papers. There are multiple tells on the watch and without papers I'd say it is a fake unfortunately. Sorry to hear you got ripped off.

Didn't the new bar removal system kick in for all J (or earlier) series models? Movement definitely looks funky.

The strap for a start, really obviously a cheap fake of a panerai oem strap. Does it feel tough and inflexible?

On the actual watch, the mechanism looks like a cheap asian copy due to the bridge and engraving of "Officine Panerai". Hands look slightly unfinished, especially the minute hand. Engraving on the bezel is not deep enough on the serial number imho. There are more but I think you get the picture.

get a refund and either buy from the collectors market here or an authorised dealer. There is no such thing as an amazing bargain when buying high end watches.
