...should Panerai have moved the "LUMINOR PANERAI" toward the 6 about 2 millimeters?

I think the dial might have better balance that way, or I just might be crazy.

Doesn't "LUMINOR SUBMERSIBLE" seem about 1mm lower here?

It definitely is here, and with a slightly larger, but proportional font:

...and here, because of the added "GMT"

I no longer have this bad boy, but "LUMINOR MARINA" is placed perfectly here, IMO:

Just food for thougt on a Monday night before I gotta clean up the kitchen and pick up my oldest from lacrosse practice!

But seriously, Dave, yeah, a couple of millimeters lower wouldn't have killed them. That said, it's still a looker.

Regards,
Adam

PS - Dude, let's get some patina on that Bronzo already! Sheesh.

However, still a beautiful watch. I'm a newbie to the Panerisit family (just got my 312 about three weeks ago) but you're collection - except the Sub (I haven't come around to them yet) - pretty much consists of every PAM I want to own in the future. Pure awesomeness.

Looks fine to me... 1mm... Maybe if it was off going from 9 to 3 but from 12 to 6, I just don't see it! Nice collection...

...on the 390 compared to 26.

See this for reference.

I like it where it's at for the record.

I'm pretty sure the 26 was one of the first Panerais to introduce the new font which is shared with the 390. Your 111 has the classic, thicker, and more compressed font.

up an initial earlier model so they made a few future models to make it look intentional? Gotcha.
