if it's the movement, you can buy a cheaper 111 then transplant the movement to 127 and you get yourself 127 at much cheaper price.

But is the seller? Again price seems to good to be true? Why doesn't the seller just pay the 5000 to have it repaired and then sell it for $14000 or whatever they are going fit these days? Seems like he's loosing to much for the deal to be genuine

Genuine and fully working 127's sell on the dealer market of this forum for around $21,000... remember if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

Good luck

What could possibly be wrong with the movement that would cost 5000? Sorry, but WAKE UP!

One can buy watches for under market price - It does happen - I for one have sold watches for under what some call 'market price' not all people have knowledge of 'the market' - also some folk think that items devalue over time rather than increase!
As Hammer says BE CAREFUL - low pricing on the internet is sometimes used as a Lure - to bate unsuspecting folk - to part them for their hard earned cash and get nothing in return. Sometimes even scamming the postal system or insurance companies at the same time.
But if the above is a 'known' person to you or you can do a safe face to face deal in a bank or watch shop - all sounds like you have found a bargain!
And the movement repair - possible high repair cost but shouldn't be within cost budget against a fantastic classic watch.
I hope to find a 5512 one day at original RRP
