because you like/love it and want to wear it. Very few watches appreciate in value, you will undoubtedly lose money in the short term, long term who knows?

It is a really nice Panerai in my humble opinion, it's on my wish list but others are ahead of it.

As already said, buy it because you love it.

FACTS
- still available at boutiques/ADs
- secondary market is ~25% off retail
- value in 5, 10 or 20+ years??? Could be up could be worthless.
- dial is a chameleon, different in all light
- lightly debossed indices are great, engraved RP designation in white is even better
- 1940 case wears very well
- it’s a unique PAM that I enjoy more and more. Others are starting to come around as well.

Get it, do it, yes!!!

This website continues to serve as the proverbial devil on your shoulder in all watch related decisions.

And I love that!!

So, in closing.. of course, buy it. But please get it to actually wear it. Don't let it sit in a drawer.

I have had two. Its a great unique piece and I may add it again. It has been having trouble moving so you can get them very cheap. I think its a great buy right now.

It is a great watch.
If you can have on a fair price, get it.

Do not worry about future value.
Buy this watch if it makes you happy and if you want to wear it and enjoy it.

I would like to have in my collection as well.
Have tried it at my AD a few times already.

I was wondering the same thing the other day - and even noticed you can purchase on their website!

To the 662 owners, is the crystal highly domed? Or more raised and notched?

Saw the dial in person on a 663 at the Vegas boutique last year and loved it.

BTW, not a social gadfly - this is my first post!

I'm very happy with mine. Like others have mentioned, the dial is very dynamic under different lighting and some strap combos really make it pop.
