Today I was in my friend's art gallery to choose the perfect mat and frame for Eng's print.

First I chose the mats, light gray and pencil gray. Everything was going well up to here.

And now I have to choose the frame and I can't make a decision between them. Suddenly I realized it was better to ask for help from my Paneristi friends.

Frame # 1
I like this one because it captures many of the colors from the print.

Frame # 2
From this one I like that it is sturdy and domed.

Help me choose between frame #1 and #2.

Wait for your feedback.

Regards,
Ricky

1) It picks up the colors nicely.
2) #2 seems too finished/neat versus the unfinished edge of the paper.
3) #2 is too thick for my liking. It seems to overpower the print.

Ask about my loyalty program.

The shades and texture of 1 go very well with the print. I would also show more of the darker mat with this choice.

The matte black of 2 really makes the watch in the print pop. I'm sure the result with this choice would be very dramatic. But you must ask yourself if the size, depth and bulk it will create, once completed, will be too much, perhaps. The frame might overpower the print.

From these two specifically I think I would lean towards 1.

Please show us the results when you're done!

I think frame #2 is very nice, but the frame is a bit too bulky and overpowering for me. Frame #1 with the pencil grey as the primary matte and lighter grey as the secondary is a winner. IMO

provides a very sharp contrast and I think it will simply draw ones eye to the print. Frame #1 is far to dull, it blends with the print and matting and does nothing to accent the print.

I have a narrow black metal frame with white matting on the print i have.

But that is if you're putting it in a room that is not too "busy" or else it will contrast with everything else. If not, just go for the classic black.
