After having my PAM221 stolen recently I am insuring all my watches. Lesson learned here.

What do most people here do?

I have home owners insurance should I just add to this or should I take out a separate policy for my watches with a company like Chubb?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated guys

On your homeowner's coverage.Check with your agent or insurance company's representative.

The cost is roughly 1% per year.

Talk to your personal casualty insurer, ask for a personal articles policy, it's usually a rider on your home owners policy that will cover all-risk, including loss. It's an easy transaction, you will need a sales receipt or a appraisal for insurable value. KH

Then buy a large safe and store the others there. The $$ saved on the first year of insurance for the other watches will pay for the safe (assuming you have 3 or more watches as most Panerai nuts do).

Otherwise you'll pay a small fortune every year for insurance on your watches and you should still buy a safe to store them.
