Nice JV's. I love those. One of the best OEM straps ever made IMO.

The OEM gold semi-matte / golden calf finish seems very hardy -- I hope it doesn't take too long. The color looks odd on my skin tone.

Enjoy the weekend!

Sorry... But the mx straps with the sewn in pre v buckly don't really age much. They have that plastic coating on them.
Particularly the gold ones. I wish they had more of a natural leather. Had all three, but sold them as I never wound up wearing
them. Love the buckles though.

starting with a light brown and progressing darker if you don't immediately achieve the desired effect. I've also used brown leather dye with good results, but that will usually give a much darker, richer, brown.

...and when the strap is wet, it appears like the leather under the finish is black or very dark. So I have a doubts about it aging at all like I would want.

The 'bleached look' may not be an option...only the darker patina - which I may like if it is done correctly.

Happy Sunday
