Just wondering if anyone here thinks that the recent introduction of the 1940's style case into Panerai's line-up is a sign of things to come? Will this midway point between Rad and Luminor be permanent. I was intrigued by the 512 and will patiently wait for the "1940's 338" if and when that ever gets produced. I love the fusion between the two "core" Panerai styles and welcome that the brand is expanding. Personally, I wish they offered a more low key brushed 1940's case with a touch of polish, it would be a hit... Maybe next year. Thanks, Scott

I really like the new 1940's case. I've tried wearing big watches and found them uncomfortable. I thought that the 112 was for me, but the lugs were just a bit too long. The 512 is the Pam I've been looking for. Well, I'd prefer the 513, but that's out of my price range. I'm rather excited about owning my first pam. I'm not, however, happy about waiting around for hopefully only 10 months to get it.

My issue is the polish. I love how the 338 has the brushed Ti case with the polished bezel - and hope that style is eventually made in a 1940 style case. Overall, I have never been a fan of the all polish look but do like a splash of polish here and there (like on lugs and/or bezel).

I think the 512 is my favorite of SIHH I just need to ensure it carries more heft than the 337 or 338. Those 1940 cases are awesome.

The 337 is nice, but I was not sure how I like the wire lugs. The new lugs, awesome.

I've got to find a 337. They look great to me.
