Working Copper With Stone age Tools

Has anyone tried to reproduce any of the copper ornaments used by the South Eastern Ceremonial Complex? It is similar to repousse but the metal is around .023 to .033 in thickness compared to foil thickness of .008. And your tools are made of bone, stone or antler, not steel. Although I have started experimenting with work hardened copper tools.
