If I didn’t know better, I would swear this was Black pedernales, or Owl creek. But it’s very black Georgetown Flint. No heat treat, just sprayed it with Armoral.

Yea, but it came with time. My job allows me to travel all over the nation, and stay long enough to do ALOT of research to find the resources. Really sucks when I’m in an area that has no resources. Where I live is a 2-1/2 hr drive to the closest flint spot. It’s a sacrifice to be away from family, so I made the best of it. Thanks for the reply.

wow beautiful montell matt moore! i would of never imagined that black english flint would be so translucent. what american chert is that english flint comparable too in toughness and workabity?
