I use a long string and just go very slowly and carefully, it's not too hard, what's hard it not overdrawing them after they are made...i've broken alot by doing that :P

That's just too cool. That osage I was saving for an atlatl, because it was too small for a bow, is in danger of becoming a bow after all.
