Nogie
I tried to call them everyday and have yet to get hold of anyone at the post office.
I was on my way there one day but a stopped train was in the way and I couldn't wait long enough before I had to get back to work.
I will make it there next week to talk to them but I just don't know how it will go/
The tracking says it was delivered, and it probably was delivered but to the wrong house.

Thanks for the update.  Let me know the next time you talk to the PO and if it is still nothing, I will get another one in the mail.

Someone, somewhere in TX is probably wondering why in the world people are mailing rocks to each other.  lol

Nogie
I got by there today
A very helpful lady is on the case now.
They showed me the GPS coordinates of where the package was scanned as delivered and it was at an intersection of a side road onto the highway I live on about a mile and a half from my house.
She said if it can't be found that you could start the process to file a claim for the insured amount which is standard fifty bucks on priority packages, so I reckon we can give it a day or two to see if they find it.
She said they have had a lot of substitute drivers and out of towners filling in deliveries because they are very short handed and there where signs saying they are hiring and how to apply for a job there.

Thank you Palousknapper for the comments and the trade works. These points are awesome. Each one is thin as a cracker and beautiful flake scarring. Glad to get my friends case going and what a start .

The USPS did finally come through, but their old slogan of delivering through rain, sleet, snow and everything else still holds true.

Here is a photo of the tools Stacy Harmon sent to me. He is truly generous. Thanks Stacy.

Normally at this time of the year, we would be mowing the grass regularly. About all we have now is clover and broadleaf weeds. It is staying cool to cold with clouds and drizzle, but almost no rain accumulation. Grass doesn't know what time of the year it is. With drizzle almost every day, we have a rain accumulation of 1.59" for the year.
