I'm in Cheyenne Wyoming staying at Americas best value inn and last night someone picked my knapping bag right out of the back of my truck. Useless stuff to most people but to me its irreplaceable tools of comfort. Tools were in a knock off klein bag. I made it easy for them. Will post contents to memory as best I can later for all to keep an eye out.

Some people would steal a pile of fresh cow manure if it was in a box or bag. He probably won't ever figure out what he snatched.

Wow!! Cheyenne PD got film from the area, foot stomped the grounds and found my discarded knapping tools. The thief seen that nothing $$$ was present and chunked my bag. Officer acutely calculated that the blurred suspect was moving faster in one camera than the next and figured out the possible drop point, and there it was. GOOD guys won tonight.

I knew I liked my tools, but when they were gone forever, I realized I love my tools. I was literally heart broken. I'll never be complacent with my gear again. My wife was telling me ( don't worry it's all replaceable) she clearly doesn't understand what a lucky bopper and a right hand man spalling hammer is. I know it's weird, but I could hear all my tools cheering when they were returned to me.

Glad you got your boppers back! Kudos to your local police. Wow! I hate trying to get used to a new tool. Hard to explain to someone how intimate one can get with their tools.
