Elm flatbow

Made in spring of 2017, a nice light flatbow for my cousin, a beginner archer. Around 170cm in length, it pack a comfortable 40#@28". Stain is walnut husk again, this time applied all around, and then lightly sanded off to create a subtle camo effect. This one was very enjoyable to shoot, at the time a wished I could keep it :)

Cool bow! Too bad there are basically no healthy elms in Croatia. Is that a paracord grip wrap?

Actually it kind of fits, green and brown can be paired together.

Beautiful bow!
Paracord can be very useful in the wild but some natural fiber would match the bow better I think...

Did you make it from seasoned wood or green? I've wanted to make an Elm bow, and have plenty on my property. Mostly Chinese and American varieties.
