I'd like some help/tips in the car audio side of things.
I currently have a Kenwood 45W x 4 RMS connected to four 15W, 6 ohm speakers. The sound is not that gud at high volume so a friend told me I need an audio amp to have good sound at high volume.
Question is, what rating of an amp should I look for to sufficiently drive the speakers, 20W, 45W, 50W, 80W? I don't want to buy something that's expensive and power hungry just to blow the system.
Any audio gurus pls enlighten.
Thanks in advance.
My friend what you have is a low wattage speaker that will not give you a good quality sound in your vehicle. Depending on the size of your car, you will size accordngly what speaker output power you will need. But that needs more engineering than you can afford to waste time with.
Vehicle speaker system will cost you, but if your are serious about sound quality you will bascically need (for the start) a 150watt Audio Amplifier (booster) with matching Fours speaker.
Seriosly don't waste your time with the 45watt!!
