Doesn't tor make you a ghost you when your on the net.. Making it useful for entering the darknet.. The place where pedophiles, assassins, and hackers hand out.. A place you don't want to be involved in.
Leading to the question, why would YOU want to use tor?

Mate,

Another common use of tor is to circumvent tracking by oppresive governments and or surveillance and censorship, this tool can be used for good, for free speech and democracy.
They way things look from the surface, you whenever know when PNG citizens might need this tool, therefore starting to get more people on tor could be beneficial for the future of a free PNG.

True I never really thought about the good side of it. But thankfully PNG hasn't reached that point yet..

I think those who have very sensitive political information to share had BETTER to it anonymously if they value their lives. Too many "accidental" deaths that are never solved.

TOR is hardly the domain of pedophiles and such. You need to read more about it, who was involved in setting it up, etc.

Don't post in ignorance!

I'd be amazed if the people who set up pngblogs.com or pngexposed.wordpress.com don't use this TOR system or something like it to cover their tracks. Believe me, with Beldon 'Thug' Namah the #2 man, these tools are already needed and overdue!

TOR is hardly the domain of pedophiles and such?? Are you kidding me?? Just last year the hacking group anonymous exposed a huge fukkin TOR-based child pornography ring, publishing a list of it's users and shutting down more than 40 of their websites, what does that tell you? Obviously these aren't the only kind of people that use TOR but they certainly do use it, contrary to what you claim. TOR is probably the safest way for pedophiles and other criminals to communicate with each other. Your the one that shouldn't post in ignorance.. As we already said above TOR can be used for good intentions, as it was made for. However people have always had a tendency to abuse that power of anonymity. My point is that as PNG continues to develop and people have better access and education of the internet, programs such as TOR will probably be used here, and more or less abused. Especially with all the stories in the papers about child molesting, incest, rape, and the growing pornography industry here, TOR here will be a haven for sickos here as it is around the world.
I don't really feel like going into debating the positives and negatives of TOR, you can do that yourself.
Next time don't get involved with discussions you have no knowledge in, or you'll just end up looking like an idiot again.

The vast majority of TOR users don't use it for anything like that. Don't take one piece of evidence to justify your theory and ignore all the evidence that goes against your theory. That's not the way to seek the truth.

Mate seriously i'm tired of arguing about this. I laugh at your comment above. You lack the brains to properly assess situations. How do you even know what the majority of TOR users use it for? Where is your evidence to back up your claim? There is no way of knowing how many people use TOR for negative purposes. So unless you can back up your claim with real evidence, GTFO! Of course I've looked at both sides, and I only put one piece of evidence because I don't feel like writing a whole efin essay on the subject..
Happy Easter Mutha Fuka.
