White expats still control too much of the business community in PNG. Some are qualified but many are not qualified to hold the jobs they are holding and are paid a fortune. There are many long term white bosses in PNG who wouldn't get the same job in Australia but in PNG they are kept in the job making fat salaries and fattening their bank accounts without doing anything to transfer knowledge or skills to Papua New Guineans or development PNG capacity. They are usually the same ones who are talking down and rubbishing Papua New Guineans and PNG.

Australian taxi drivers and clerks come to PNG and they become senior managers with million kina apartments and expensive cars but when they return to Australia they go back to driving trucks, and opening doors.

Why do we allow these people in and let them keep these big jobs? Its a joke. A few of these long term expats have questionable sexual activitities that are banned or frowned upon in Australia like pedophilea but in PNG we turn a blind eye to them. Why?

30 years on why are we still letting these people remain in PNG?

All you say is true. But everything you say about the white expats you will find it even worse for the Chinese. Chinese who are less than truck drivers just simple beggars come to PNG, make business and end up rich off us. The asians are our biggest threat by far. The aussies never swept over our country like a bad sick like the asians are now doing.

They are here because of 35yrs of CORRUPTION.

It is so easy to bribe Foreign Affairs Officers and Labour Department and the IPA to register a business. This is no secret what is happening in these departments and there are ome very disturbing stories comming out.

There is also no money to police illegal immigration and the conduct of those departments involved.

Unfortunately, we Papua New Guineans, having learnt all the tricks of corruption from the Asians during the 1990's, do a far better job at corruption than they ever did. The Aussies were always very poor teachers of corruption compared to the expertise of the Asians.

Australians raped us in the 70s and 80s. 90's and 2000's were decades of the Asians. This new decade is the decade of the Papua new Guineans corrupting themselves.

Come now. The Asians are just getting started on their rape and pillage of PNG. We can hardly compete once they come in full force.

To be honest we ourselves (Papua New Guineans) are to blame if we cannot learn anything from the Whites and Asians and adapt and beat them at their own game.

We aren't as landless and desperate as they are. It's hard to compete against people who have to struggle so hard just to survive in their own lands.
