TT, whatever you heard in May was still "up in the air".Showing an interest does not mean the same thing as making an offer.

He should have just signed a 1 year deal.

It appears that Wakefield Trinity Wildcats will be relegated back to Championship 1 Division in 2012.
So he will only play in Super League for just 1 year.

tt,

Back in June, Wakefield head coach John Kear said he was looking for a possible replacement for departing captain Jason Demetriou, who was leaving at the end of this season, and JJ was one of those players he was looking at.And until they have had a closer look at all the possible candidates, including JJ, they were not making any offers until the end of the season.

Anywhere,it is the play-offs,and fortunately for JJ, he gets a 2-year contract.

Your link doesn't even say JJ signed a 2 year deal, let alone any quote from John Kear.Totally vague and unsubstantiated.

Wildcats Sign World Cup Ace for 2011

http://wakefieldwildcats.co.uk/2010/09/ ... -for-2011/

Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have signed Papua New Guinea World Cup back Jessie Joe Parker for 2011.

The 24-year-old stand-off or centre three quarter has been playing for neighbours Featherstone Rovers in the Co-operative Championship and he has agreed a two year contract for the Wildcats, starting next year.

Wildcats Head Coach John Kear said: Jessie Joe has been outstanding for Featherstone and we believe that he will be a big asset for us in the engage Super League next year.

He played in the 2008 World Cup in Australia as well as the 2009 Pacific Cup for the Kumuls so he is an experienced international.

We are always interested in the best talent that becomes available and were delighted that Jessie has agreed to join us.

Jessie Joe has proved to be a consistent try scorer for Rovers and we want him to transfer that talent to Super League for the Wildcats.

Before joining Featherstone Jessie Joe had been playing for Queensland Cup side Northern Pride, the club he had joined after moving from Papuas domestic competitions.
