Hello! Right now I'm currently working on a non-Oz related book (a study of Offenbach's opera "Les contes d'Hoffmann") but one of the future projects I've considered, when this one is finished, is a biography of Ruth Plumly Thompson which would also include discussions of her work (I'd focus mainly on the Oz stuff, but of course I'd discuss her non-Oz writings as well). Unfortunately, I have no idea where to start on the research - are there relatives of Thompson who might have letters, documents, relative info? If anyone has inside scoop on any of this, please let me know. I think it would be an important addition to anyone's Oz library - so much has been written on Baum, but very little on Thompson.

The Baum Bugle, the journal of the International Wizard of Oz Club, has printed several articles about Thompson and her works. Perhaps someone could dig some up and help out that way. The Autumn 1976 issue, which was a memorial tribute issue, is an excellent starting point.

I would love to read a biography of Thompson, so I'd look forward to whatever you come up with.
