We don't know the outcome yet, and it's actually a secret - but she tried with donor sperm numerous times when she was 40, 41, and maybe 42. She only ever got 2-3 eggs and it didn't work.

In the last couple years she started dating a guy and they really love each other. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. They did IVF together & got 10 embryos, and she's 43. The RE is some famous guy, in Israel. Unfortunately I don't know anything about the protocol and I'm not even supposed to know anything about this. (Her sister told my mom, which she should not have, and my mom told me, which she also should not have. I hope it's okay to tell you guys, since you have no idea who any of us are).

I will keep you guys updated.

Japan - government subsidized, around $3K per ivf, Japanese citizen gets $1K rebate; mini-ivf costs several hundred bucks there, everyone can literally ditch bd and head for ivf clinic every month.

Scandinavia countries, most expensive is Sweden, cheapest is Norway, lots of Brits jog up there for IVF. Around $3K per round, meds half the cost of the US. The only downside is, Europe mandates SET or max of 2 embies for age 35+, but their labs are superior to ours in general so they have a much better chance of growing eggs to 5 day blast.

Conclusion: must go live in developed countries with shrinking population if you are infertile.

I just heard the same thing.
They don't do IVF for women over 44.
a private med would - only if the couple would take any risk.

I'm 47, getting help of a doctor at a private clinic.
This doctor suggested to use DE and will travel with me to Riga for the procedure.

I'm from Israel.

Adee is it free through age 44 then?

Also, that's quite something that your doctor will travel with you.
